Population growth, median household income and job growth. These are some of the key market indicators to follow as an investor that when monitored can take real estate investing success to new heights. Growing populations mean more housing and higher demand for rental product.
“The South and West currently seem to be attractive places to move, eight of the 15 cities with the largest population gains in 2018 were located in the South and six were in the West.” reports the U.S. Census Bureau. Below, we share the top 15 “fastest-growing” cities in the US as ranked by Wallethub.
In the study, “Each city received a final growth score between 0 and 100 based on 17 relevant metrics. The metrics fell into categories representing sociodemographics or jobs and economy, including: population growth; college-educated population growth; job growth; median household income growth; growth in homes with $75,000+ annual income; decrease in unemployment rate; increase in number of businesses; and growth in regional GDP per capita.” as per Business Insider.
